Hearing Update

Dear Ones:

I just got off the phone with CPS. As of right now baby girl will remain in our care. I have her first visitation with birth parents on Wednesday. They also told us there is a possible relative who may want the baby so we will see. For now she is with us so we will take it one day at a time. Thank you for praying. Please continue to pray for us. As happy as we are that she is still here we still live with the constant insecurity if she will stay. Being with her is FANTASTIC but the thought and real possibility of losing her is HORRIBLE.

  2. Can't even imagine how you can do it. Falling in love with a precious baby, caring for them like your own, and then having them leave. You are incredible.

  3. God is giving you amazing strength to be able to go through this. I can't imagine living with the uncertainty. My prayers are with you.
I know you will continue to love that little girl with every beat of your heart because you know that's what she needs.
If this is the little one that God has meant for you, I pray you know that for sure soon. I guess I'm being a little selfish.....because I want to see pictures!!!
    Praying, Praying, Praying!

  4. Having been through this roller coaster with my parents and then with my sister, and again with friends, I understand.

Just know that God is the God of everything....even the Department of Human Services. ;)

    I'm praying for you guys!

  5. We are licensed foster parents, and hope to do a foster/adoption sometime. My question is, are you requesting placements that have a greater likelihood of leading to adoption? I know there is never a guarantee, but it might help ease your heart and emotions when you do take placements. This is what we are doing, so our adoption worker calls us only with these types of situations.
    Blessings!

  7. Michelle,

I am just now catching up on your blog. I wish I had been back sooner so I could have been praying for you. I am excited to hear this news. Fostering is not for the faint of heart. Love always costs something. I know you have the heart that will do this and do it well no matter what.
Your sister in foster care and Christ,
    Amy
