Hello Dear Ones:

Tonight I want to blog about dreams. The kind you have when you are awake.

Dream - A cherished aspiration, ambition or ideal

First let me talk about some dreams I continue to hope for:

  • For over a year now I have been dreaming about Mercy. I hope one day that dream will be fulfilled.
  • I also hope to be a great photographer someday. Professional, I doubt it, but great...maybe.
  • I dream that all my boys will grow up to be great men of God and raise close knit families that serve our wonderful Savior.
  • I dream to be debt free someday.
  • I dream that the weak areas of my flesh will be touched by my Fathers loving hand and be made to be like Him...bring it Lord Jesus!

Weather or not these dreams come to fruition or not I do want to share some dreams that have:
  • I have, at times, heard my Fathers voice and felt his comfort and peace. Nothing  in all the world compares to feeling God's good pleasure as I live my life.
  • I am married to the most amazing man, and mother to the four most awesome boys a mother could have. Ever since I was a girl, as far back as I can remember, this is what I wanted to spend my life doing/being.
  • I have been blessed with friends to walk this life with, that certainly make the journey much more thrilling.

Thank you Jesus for dreams!

  1. So glad I found your blog!

My husband and I are in the process of adopting a child from foster care. We should be certified this month! I have gathered so much strength from reading other adopter's blogs.

About hearing from God. Isn't it amazing and absolutely wonderful?

I've been hearing 'Simeon' about our adoption. I'm not sure what it means, since we will not be renaming our child, but I'm sure that soon I will look back and say "Wow God! That's what you meant!" But it has given me peace and reassurance that God is very present in our process.

Thanks for sharing! I look forward to following your journey!

  2. I can relate to so many of your dreams--waiting for a child, watching God work with me on my weaknesses, being filled with gratitude for the blessings I've already received, and even wanting to be a great photographer!

One thing I'm learning as we draw near to 2 years of waiting for our son is that God is able to teach us so much as we wait for Him to work on the things in our life that we so deeply want to see fulfilled. By seeing Him reveal Himself to me in new ways, I've realized how imperfectly I know Him--even after knowing Him almost my entire life! Romans 11:33 is so true!

With that said, I hope this period of waiting is over soon!

"As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."

Joshua 24:15
