Think Pink!

Dear Ones:

I have some news to share. I have been totally transparent about what financial situation this adoption has put us in. I am involved in many things to help bring the funds in. The list (links) is as follows:

SendOutCards (awesome by the way)

I personally enjoy the above but none has brought in the income we need. To the point of feeling so discouraged. We even are considering selling our house, but so far the numbers are not what we would need them to be with the current market.

Well, a friend of mine introduced me to Mary Kay. Initially I thought are you crazy? I am not looking for anything else, but for some reason I could not put it out of my mind. The more I listened, the more intrigued I became. Two things were my big hang ups:

1) How embarrassing to announce I am trying something else.
2) I don't want to put money into something that will hurt us, meaning more debt.

Well I just decided to ignore number one and true friends I have told have been SOOOO encouraging. My own darling husband told me " Michelle do you know how many successful people tried a lot of things before they found what worked for them." I am a words of encouragement gal and those words alone were such a blessing!

The second thing is null and void, because if for some reason you decide to leave MK you can get out with a 90 % buy back so no repercussions.

So, astonishing to even me, I am going for it, and I am excited. I already have 5 customers.

So pray for me. If you need a consultant then I would love for you to support me. I am not looking to take business away from anyone else so if you have a consultant continue to bless her.

Check out my MK website
Let me know if I can be of service to you!

I am encouraged if only to know that by my sharing my discernment process with you that He is already blessing you with not only Sales and Funds, but EXCITEMENT and JOY in being in this business! Who'd of thought Mary Kay would be so much of a JOY in our lives! And to think we STILL don't have our Starter Kits!

Keep praying for me and I will be praying for you daily.

  5. Maybe you should forget about Mary Kay and try MODELING!! That picture looks like a Cosmo cover. If I wanted to buy make up, I would certainly buy it from a girl with a face like that. I hope this will be the one that works for you Michelle. :)

  8. Hey, I say go for it with all you got! This may be the venture that God will bless over and over for you. You never know until you try! I'll be praying! I'm not a make-up kind of gal (as you can tell in pics of me) but if I decide to change my ways, I'll sure send you my business. Too bad we don't live closer so you could give me one of those awe inspiring new looks ;) then I could be your walking advertisement!
    Blessings to you!

  9. Michelle,
This sounds like a great new adventure! I have a friend that sells Beauti-Control products, and I couldn't live without her;) I have used Mary Kay in the past, and still use some of their lip colors. I used Beauti-Control for years, then my rep moved away, and no one close by sold the stuff. I switched to Mary Kay because my sister-in-law started selling it. I liked it very much:) She then stopped selling it:( (Where she lived..very rural...there were not enough customers). That is when I found out that my son's new pre-school friend's mom was selling Beauti-Control products!! Back I went to them! My make-up usage is such a drama!!LOL!
Anyway...Good luck on this endeavor! May God give you blessings overspilling in this effort!!

  10. Hi Michelle;

As mom who has adopted and is adopting, I understand your finance concerns.

I'd just ask you ...are you tithers and givers?

Read Malachi chapter 3...I strongly urge you to #1 be a tither and a giver...#2 if you are already, then ask God to open the windows of heaven over your life.

Where He calls us to He enables us to walk it out. Money is nothing to God...if we give Him the 10 percent (tithe) first we can go to Him knowing He will make a way.

Sometimes I forget that and instead enter into worry. God reminds me...my post on Prayer Request Sunday was related to this...read Math. 6:30-32 in The Message Bible...or come over to my blog and see what I shared.

    may His blessings overcome you!
